Haiku in overdrive

the rain unyielding
crashing through
thoughts of summer

the driver races
the signal changes to red -
the journey is braked

ill on the pathway
my dreams are full of sorrow
weakening my bones

i entered the room
eyes peered at me anxiously -
a flicker of power
